I am getting ready to install a DEI 562T remote start and keyless entry in my 03 nissan xterra xe model. The truck does not have power door locks, so i will be installing them as well.
I think i have all the wiring info i need, but was wondering about an immobilizer, i dont think i need one the truck has no factory security. can someone confirm this for me.
should be fairly straightforward, but am also wondering if anyone has any issues i should look out for on this car, any info is appreciated. just hoping to find out now, as opposed to when i have the dash and door panels ripped apart.

No bypass needed on the 03 Xterra very straight forward install. Two starter wires is the only additional thing you need to concern yourself with.

All right, so i am ready to do this. What exactly is up with the 2nd starter wire, do i need to hook it up and if so, how.
Does this require a relay that needs power and ground.
I have purhased a dei 562t, seems pretty straightforward except for this 2nd starter wire. the install manual does not say anything about it.

second starter wire are often seen in toyotas and nissans. they supply more current for the starter motor. wire it up like so. using a relay 85 - constant 12v
86 - (-) start output from unit 250mA
87 - high current 12v
30 - second starter wire on car.

all right, its all installed, starts and works well.
I have one question, after it remote starts i hear a relay clicking every few seconds. if i touch the brain, thats definitely where its coming from. what accessory would be clicking on and off every few seconds. i have no door locks or security hooked up, just the remote start.
Only wires coming off of the brain hooked up are power, ground and park lights. then it is just the relay satellite and the remote start harness. relay sat is all hooked up and the brake, tach and neutral start are all hooked up and seem to be working fine.
is there an accessory that i can program off or something that may be expecting a ground or something.

scratch that, it was the parking lights flashing as opposed to constant lit.
the last thing, i did not mention this last time, cuz i thought i had it figured out. my 2nd start wire relay somehow does not activate, it is wired as tedmond said to wire it above, but it doesnt seem to be getting the -200mA signal from the brain. if i ground terminal 86 it fires right up and runs fine, all accessories on.
i am using the little purple wire from the secondary remote start harness, but cant get it to work. is there another -200mA output i can use. I am not sure why this does not make it work. can i test for that -200mA with my DMM...

The clicking you hear every few seconds is the internal parking light relay of your 562T. Did you hook up the parking light wire? Blue/Red(+) located in the steering column harness. You'll see them turning on and off with the clicking sound. The Dei systems come factory set to flash the parking lights while remote started, but you can change that to a constant output in Munu #2 Option 2-4.

You can test that wire by putting you red probe from your meter on a constant 12v source and take the black probe and put it on the purple wire, then remote start. Your meter should go up to 12v during crank. If it doesn't that output is dead. You can check the blue status wire in the same harness to see if that has a output during remote start(it will showan output the whole time not just in start). If the blue wire has an output, rewire relay like so - 85 - Tap into Purple 12volt starter wire(thick) from relay pack
86 - (-) Blue status wire
87 - high current 12v
30 - second starter wire on car.
