Hey guys , I'm going to be installing the AS-6250v in my 1998 Mazda MPV ES. I had a couple questions about 3 things. 1) Do I have to hook up both parking light wires. It has a + and - parking light output the + comes with a fuse. 2) Which wire do I hook up the priority door wire do. Would that just be the door trigger or is it to the drivers door? 3) What does the white wire Ground out when running mean and do I have to hook it up? 4) I'm I going to be fine with just hooking up the unlock and lock wires to the car or I"m I going to have to use some relays. 1. No, use the (POS)+ output for parking light flash. 2. Priority door means progressive unlock. 1st unlock to do the drivers door, second unlock for the rest. You cannot easily use this option. 3. You will not need the ground while running. It would be used to trigger a bypass module, but your vehicle does not need one. 4. You can try the low amperage outputs you have on the unit, if it will not lock/unlock, use a relay. -------------

1) Use the (+) output as KTM mentioned. connect this to RED / WHITE in a black connector (close to brake pedal) 2) priority door as KTM stated, it allows driver door to unlock ONLY, then unlock the others when you press unlock twice. if you want to do Driver Priority unlock, you need a relay and tag the Driver door lock motor wire. Power Lock - Gray (-) behind glovebox @ keyless module
Power Unlock - Pink (-) behind glovebox @ keyless module 3) Ground When Running (GWR) can be used to tigger a bypass module, relay for rear defrost or bypass a negative clutch system if you have a manual tranny (using negative start is best if you own a manual tranny). i will assume your going to use it to do rear defrost. so heres how to wire it. 85 - GWR (-) from remote start unit
86 - constant 12v
87 - high current 12v
30 - to defrost wire on car 4) heres the info for door locks Power Lock - Gray (-) behind glovebox @ keyless module
Power Unlock - Pink (-) behind glovebox @ keyless module the wires you are triggering are for the keyless interface. inside the interface or module are the relays that control the door locks, so no need to use additonal relays.

What do you mean by tag the driver door. And also how would I wire up the relay. and would it be neccesary to hook it up. Also on the relay for the defrost for pin 87 where would I find that High current 12v wire or would I just use the same wire that I used for 86. And the defrost would only be on when the car is in remote start mode.

Hey one last thing. the wire that says Door input that is for the Door trigger. Correct?

Yes, for your vehicle, use the (-) door input --- grey wire of the 12 wire harness , connect it to the (-) pink wire at the door pin or @ fusebox.

So I take it that I can't find a diagram for wiring up the Priority Door input that it is as tricky as the 2nd post says. So I think that I will leave it unhooked. Can someone answer my question about that high current 12v on pin 87 for wiring up the rear defroster to the GWR wire. Thanks

high current 12v is just a normal 12v wire that is sufficent for supply the amps needed. usaully high current wires are found at fusebox or ignition wires.

does this approach seem right for wiring up the Prority door relay. 85 - Prority door output 86 +12v 87 +12v 30 To motor side 87a to switchside

Its been a couple months and now I'm going to have the time to finally install this alarm, but I need to come back to this subject. Because, I'm wondering if I really need to bother hooking it up. The MPV already has this feature. I press the remote one time and it unlocks the drivers door. When I press it a second time it unlocks all doors. I guess the final question is. If I just wire the alarm up, it should just act the same way it does right now. Would I be right in thinking this way.
