If i want to use the voltage sensing option which wire do i hook the tach wire on the remote start to?

voltage sensing does not require a tach wire to be hooked up. Voltage sensing monitors the voltage on the vehicles power wires and looks for when the alternator bumps the voltage up when it kicks in. Only tach sensing requires a tach wire to be installed. If you want to use the tach monitoring then It helps to know what car you are working on for me to tell you. Otherwise you can typically go to an injector wire and grab the uncommon color. There will be one wire common to all injectors, grab the other one.

It's a 91 cutlass supreme which has a mulit-coil. I coudn't find the tach wire so i'm going to try the voltage sensing. Hopefully it works. Thanks for the help.

Voltage sensing usually sucks. Tach should be a PURPLE / white at the coil pack. If you can't find a PURPLE / white, it'll be white.
