thank swamprat323, but I needed the install manual; because I need to know how to program the normally closed relay to normally open. Thats great you upload the manuals for the community to use. Clifford; before DEI bought them out had all their manuals posted up and I miss that. heh oh well thanks again

what are you using the relay for? you cant prgram a relay. you can program the output on the unit to control what the relay will do.

yes im trying to program the unit's armed output for the relay to operate in normally open configuration. Using it for ignition kill. thanks

using a normally open configuration isnt the best option to use. i would use the normally closed. sometimes the normally open, if your unit is defective and doesnt send a ground, you will be stranded wheever you are.

i rather take that risk than having a car stolen, which happens to most normally close relay configurations. Whats a point of having an alarm if it isn't effective? Plus the car it's going into does not have full coverage. I might install a back up switch in case if it does fail. Tedmond, have you personally seen a lot of NO relay configurations fail? Installing alarms isn't my profession so I wouldn't know.

and what brand do you see that fails? As far as i know I think Clifford and Crimestopper are probably the only ones that has the NO for its immobilizer. Do you know of any more? Those are the ones I use for my own and family cars.

i dont think you find the bullet 2. i though well i head any ways Clifford b4 dei the alarm never came with install guides the shops only had a master set of install guides. unless some put them up online or has them.

any ways i have the install guide for the bullet 4 maybe that will help ya. you can always change it back if not right. most of the basic programing should be the same.

I think the bullet 4 uses a completely different valet switch, but i'll give it a try anyways. thanks
