hi everybody i purchased a 1600xp python remote start and a 1700g bypass module to install on my 01 silverado? has anyone used this bypass on one of these yet? if so does the door lock function of the 1700g work? or do i need to just hook to the bcm and use a 451m? thanks for all help

The 1700g should do door locks and oem security along with anti theft

The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya

will only do door locks, passlock, oem alarm arm/disarm on the '03 and up silverados. the '02 and prior it will only do passlock bypass (and maybe factory alarm disarm. can't remember of the top of my head) but no locks

also, you don't need the 451m for the locks at the bcm. just connect the blue and green to your unlock and lock

alright i looked a diagram and it shows + pulses to the relays from the switch. doesnt the alarm module send one signal for lock and reverse the signal for unlock?

don't mind the - pulse, won't matter for ya.

Power Lock + lt. blue brown plug @ BCM

Power Unlock + white brown plug @ BCM

connect the python's green (+) unlock to the white wire at the BCM and the python's blue (+) lock to the lt. blue at the BCM
