Q1 - I've just installed a remote start car alarm into my 94 Honda Accord and it's working just great except it's not working right. when i remote start the car it starts like a dream and will idle for a few secconds befor it turns it's self off.  I'm thinking it has something to do with the tach wire because i didnt want to run another wire through the fire wall i found a blue wire that i thought was it when the car was off it read 0v and when it was on i got a reading of .5v or so i thought that this was kinda low but i was trying it, is this the wrong wire and if it is are there any places i could check for the right one?

Q2 - another problim i had was finding the dome light wire. for the dome light i was told to look for the 20 pin connector to teh left of the steering column and then find the BLACK/ WHITE/ silver doted wire but unless i'm blind i cant find that i think i've found the connector but the wire is not there.

Q3 - one last simple thing (i hope) is there a way to connect the lights to the alarm so they flash with the alarm? they flash on lock and unlock but not for the alarm.  thanks for your time

Q1:Sounds like atach problem to me too. There should be a blue wire at the distributor. Otherwise you can grab an injector wire. There are 2 wires at each injector, every injector will have 1 wire that is the same color, grab anyone of the wires that are uncommon. If you have a tachless mode, it may work fine.

Q2:You are supposed to use the door trigger: which is blk/wht in a gray plug to the right of the steering column and it is (-)

Q3:What unit are you working with? Most alarms flash the lights when the alarm is going off. There are ways to get around this, but I find it wierd that they would not flash when the alarm is triggered.

what remote start unit did you install? It may in fact be the correct wire - but for some remote start units you have to program the unit to learn the tach signal

i dont know the name of the manufacture but the unit is a FM-2009 i got it on ebay i've sence found the same unit at https://www.asianwolf.com/2009INFO2.htm i could try to find the tach wire under the hood but i really dont what to put another wire through the fire wall when i knwo that the wire has to come it some where and i duble checked the lights and found that the front come on but i dont know about the back the nabors are starting to get mad at me for testing it... to much noise posted_image

Did you try the tachless mode? I would try this first and if that does not work, then you should just run another wire into the engine, I mean it cant be that hard, you should already have 2 wires going through the firwall already, one more cant be too hard.

That alarm should flash your parking lights when the alarm is triggered. I am sure that if it flashes the front then the back are flashing too.
