I have a 2000 Beetle 1.8T but cant find the door lock and unlock wires.  the12volt says at switch but on the door lock switch there isnt any color there refering to?  also what is a double pulse?

yellow/blue, WHITE/ lt.green.

lock... unlock.    all the way towards the rear of the door. Not at the front. break the harness open where it goes into the door thru a rubber grommet.

No the wiring you want is actually from the key cylinder

ok i found them but this is the thing.  the wires read 12v but when i turn the key in one direction the 12v signal goes to ground.  how do i wire the door locks?  sorry for such a nob question but Im new to car alarm

The door lock wires in your car a negative trigger so you should be fine to just to wire them directly to your alarm. What system are you installing?

ok i got it.  the alarm im using has two different ways to set up the door locks.  i needed to use the (-) pulses to make the doors work.(just like 12v said)posted_image
