So I've already done an 07 CR-V and an '05 Accord using DEI Valet 561R's-which I always use.  I'm thinking of using the DEI Ultrastart 1 button model instead for this 04 CR-V, but I don't know if this is the best choice.  I know that the factory FOB is built in to the key, which makes the 1 button model seem more of a good choice initially, but I know that with the Accord the Factory FOB buttons wouldn't unlock the door while the car was remote started and the remote start FOB had to be used at that time.  I may just go with the Valet 561r for that reason.  Unless there's a better unit out there for this application, any recommendations?

Also, the wiring diagram for the 04 CR-V says that alarm disarm is with the factory FOB unlock only.  I've never seen this, is this gonna give me problem, or can I just wire the start module's disarm/arm wires to the unlock/lock wires?

honda arms and diarms with lock/unlock if its not an EX vehicle. SInce DEI products have the PULSE before START, then you would wire that to the unlock wire, and connect the factory arm to the lock wire. that way, the unit will UNLOCK - START - RELOCK.

Unless I'm mistaken, if you cut the yellow wire at the security module during remote start, you'll be able to use the OEM fob with engine running.

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.

Older CR-V doesn't have any factory alarm unless it's a dealer-installed accessory, just like the older Civic.

The factory keyless module is just to the left of the steering wheel, with maybe four or five wires.......interrupting the yellow ignition wire during remote start (and NOT hooking up keysense) will allow the factory keyless to keep working.
