I'm trying to install a Aftermarket Generation AGA-1201 Remote Start/Alarm into my 1991 Ford Ranger (auto trans). The parking brake in my truck is disconnected (I bought it broken and never fixed it).

The manual says I need to hook up the "Neutral Safety/Parking Brake Switch Input". I've read some posts here that indicated I could just ground that wire, and that it's not actually used on auto transmissions. Is that true, and if not, is there any way I can install this without having to fix my parking brake?

Thanks much!

Just ground this connection and it will work.

When the brake is up, its grounded, when its down its not - hence grounding it will trick it - works for NAV systems too
