I have gave some guy my alarm, so he can install it for me. He asked me for $100 to install car starter, windows module, doors lock and unlock. do you guys think he charged good price to do all that? thnx

It's a good price for a car audio shop definately, but "some guy"??? oh hell no! If he's not an installer get your alarm back. I just think your asking for trouble if he's not experienced.

True about the non experienced. But if he knows what he is doing he could charge more.

No this guy definitely knows whats his doing. He used to have his system shop before. Very well experinced guy.

Then in my opinion, you are getting a good deal. I cannot tell you how many calls I have gotten for a customer to have me install a Bulldog that he got from Walmart. Which my reply to them is it cost the same for me to install his bulldog, or my remotestart. Sorry about the rambling... my point is before I got sidetracked is, if he knows what hes doing, then thats not a bad price.

Exactly Hak, people are always surprised when i quote them a price that is only $50 cheaper then if they just had me put mine in for them. That is a hell of a deal you are getting for a full alarm/starter. $100 is where I start for just the starter if someone brings it to me. Everything else is extra.

you know on the alarm it has a wire saying door trigger pin - and door trigger pin + were do does go? and were is the best place to put the shock sensor?

depending on if your car has pos(+) door tigger or neg(-). Only one of these two wires is used. (for the door anyway, can still use the other for another kind of trigger.) In my opinion, I try to centralize the shock sensor as much as possible, this way it's not stupid sensitive on one side of the car and not on the other. I also try to zip tie it to a wire harness. That's just something I personnaly do, I think that even though they are adjustable, it's seems to be a little more accurate this way. Kinda hard to explain what I'm talking about, but you can always try both ways (zip tied to wires or mounted to metal.) & see how you like it.
