I have a 1998 Chevy Tahoe that has a AutoStart AS-6010 TW alarm/start combo. This unit came on the vehicle when I bought it, I never recived the remotes for this item when I bought it (dealership didnt have them) Also it is missing the hoodpin switch and alarm horn.

So I decided to buy a Code alarm CA-670, thinking it would be a simple thing to cut old wires (have not done yet) and wire in the new CA-670. The problem I am having is I have both the Wiring Schematics for both alarm/start combos but the don't match up the CA-670 has alot more wires.

Can anyone help to explain which I need to connect together to get this new system to work???

Thank you.

The reason I ask here is our local code alarm installer is a shady dealer many people that had him install their systems have had their stereo systems stolen

we used to carry code, adn to tell you the truth, i think its a waste of money.  they are not reliable at all.  i would just go with either a dei or prestige brand.  the code line was only around with us for like 1 1/2 yrs---life is so nice without all those headaches.

what wires have you connected and which have you left out. follow your diagrams and match up wires, codealrm keeps their manuals staraight forward and fairly simple to follow.
