Hey guys with all of your help I successfully installed the 561T in the wifes Caravan. I have decided to put one in my Durango. I will be installing it sometime this week and just want to do a little homework before I start.

2000 Durango SLT+ w/ keyless entry and factory alarm. I believe I have most of the wiring under control. I am a little confused on the activation input and arm/disarm. I believe H1 harness WHITE/ red+ goes to ORANGE / black+ in kick panel and that should take care of the activation input. As far as the alarm I am not sure how to wire this. Do I need relays and/or resistors? Alarm would have to disarm before remote start and rearm if remote start times out or I shut it off. Lt GREEN/ orange- should be the factory disarm wire. Thank You.

Ok guys after reading the manual about 90 times I think I may have figured some of it out. According to page 12 of the manual it looks like I need to use relays for the arm/disarm.  So do I use 2 relays and wire them like it shows on page 12 and tie both wires from the relays  to the factory arm/disarm wire light GREEN/ orange- Is this correct?? Also this truck has a positive trigger parking light circuit so I think I need a relay here also and wire it like it shows on page 15 is this correct?? And lastly can I tie all the constant 12volt wires together and make one connection to a 12volt source in the truck?? Where is a good 12volt source in this truck other than the ignition switch?? Gonna attempt install this weekend so any help is much appreciated.

alright......you are right about h1/6 going to the ORANGE / black(+) lock motor wire. For arm and disarm you will need two relays, a 647ohm resistor and a 1562 ohm resistor. Here is how the relays need to be wired......arm relay,86 12v, 87 ground, 85 h1/2 GREEN / WHITE factory rearm.....30, 647 ohm resistor to the (-) lt. GREEN/ orange of the vehicle. Disarm relay... 86 and 87 are the same as the arm relay. 85 h1/1 lt. GREEN/ black factory disarm........30, 1562 ohm resistor to the(-) lt. GREEN/ orange of vehicle. You do not need a relay for the lights. There is a jumper on the system...it should be set default for positive lights, but make sure. Ignition switch or direct to the battery for your 12v.

Thanks for your help mikvot.

Ok so I do NOT need a relay for parking lights? This would be a direct connection from 561T to vehicle?

Do the 12volt feeds for relays need to be fused if so what size fuse?

Would it be ok to wire all my 12volt feeds together(relays and 561t) and make only 1 connection to vehicle 12volts?

Thanks again for your help.
