Hey guys I just bought this system and I am starting to wonder if it was a wise purchase? Does anyone have this system installed? what do you think about it? is the range pretty good? Also I got this for my pickup, ram 1500 05 model, what else do I need to get to make this system a really nice alarm? Also to make it roll up and down/vent the windows what will I need to do? Is it easy enough to install myself and does anyone have an install manual for this system.. Thanks in advance.

I uploaded the install manual for you. https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/downloads.asp?srch=all&term=clifford+matrix+12.5

As for the install, hopefully you have some experience....if you blow the system up, Dei  won't warranty it for you unless you are an authorized dealer.

I am stuck in the middle of installing my Clifford 12.5x, In my install manual it says that I need to connect a door trigger to a negative wire when any door is open. I've read on here about diode isolating and all the goodness however I have a question, what size diode do I need to use? Also when hooking up my parking lights and arm/disarm they state I need to use different types of resistors, this isnt a problem except they don't state how big of a resistor I need to use. If anyone could help with the sizes that would be greatly appreaciated.

1 amp diodes. look for a BLACK / YELLOW in the drivers kick next to the ebrake for (POS)+ parking lights.

My install manual and vehicle wirirng diagram call for a 590 Ohm res. and a 1565 ohm res., But I have a problem every where I go they don't have one.. does anyone have any idea how I can find these resistors or make them by putting two in parrelle?  all help is appreaciated..

You can use multiple resistors to get the correct value. Do not put them parallel though. Run them inline. They do not have to be exact, but get them as close as possible.

could use a POT and that will work too.

oh no.. I think I have a big problem.. there were two "purple" wires in the drivers kick panel.. the wiring digram on the page and bulldog said to use the "voilet" wire for the (-) door trigger.. that should be the drivers door. However when I arm the alarm and that door is open nothing happens, but when I try and arm with one of the other three open it'll warn me that it is open.. I did diode isolate all of the individual door wires then ran them into the (-) door trigger inputt.. any ideas? Also how can I tell which of the two wires down there is the one I am looking forr? Please help, and guys thank you for all of the previous answers..

Do you own a digital multimeter? If you don't, get one. Even if you need to borrow one.

You have a 2 door, or 4?

DOORPIN SEE NOTES
Doorpins on this vehicle are ground trigger Use Violet (Driver Door), Violet/Orange (Rear Drivers Door) both wires are found in drivers kick panel. Violet/White (Passenger Door), Violet / YELLOW (Rear Passenger Door) Both wires are found in passenger kick panel.

anyone?? the alarm will tell me a door is open when infact there is not a door open, also about an hour after arming the alarm will go off flashing that a door has been open, I must've tapped into the wrong wire but I cant figure out where..

So then the diode is reversed and the circuit is open?

I get the drivers door pin under the dash. look left of the steering column against the firewall. You will see that huge plug with the plastic white cover. There will be wires coming out the bottom. There is only 1 violet wire in there. That is your drivers door pin.

Well, the problem with those trucks, is that there are many wires that are colored the same, located in the same area. Very important to test the wires with a multimeter. In the same location I listed the drivers door pin, you will also find a violet/grey(-) that will be your drivers side rear door. make sure you have diode isolated all 4 of your doorpins.

is that violet/grey.. is that on the 05 model? or the 04..? Dang lol those wiring diagrams are crap. Haha but okay I have the two wires that I have no idea what they do diode isolated hooked in to my door trigger. I will cut the wires loose on those and hook them to the violet and the violet/gray... thank you again

It might also be violet/orange(-) like mentioned in the earlier post.
