Hey

I bought a automatic avistart 4300 remote start for a 2002 sentra with eevrything(all relays, etc), the previous owner took it out because he sold the car.

So i was wondering what do i need to install it in a 2000 sentra manual, or a 1999 dodge grand caravan automatic. Which would be easier

Use it for the Dodge and then go and buy one for the Sentra that is designed for manual transmission. Safety first !!

It will work, just wont have anything to prevent it to start if left in car.

Could you upgrade it with the DEI man trannie add on?  It's the same company after all. DONT install it to a manual without one. Apart from anything else you are heading for all sorts of legal problems.

Yes, it will work on certain conditions..

1) if you have a ground neutral sensor wire in the sentra (I'm sure nissan has not changed that design)

2) if you have a ground to start black wire on the Remote start unit.

So, in short, for the grand scheme of things, it will work if you fulfill both those conditions..

Should you use it, is up to you. I had an Audiovox APS unit in a maxima 5spd connected from ground to start to Neutral sensor on ECU for 5 years with no issues.

If you are obviously concerned about doing things the right way, get a 5spd enabled unit which makes you do things like pull up handbrake and put car in neutral and step on brake pedal to allow the car to know it was left in a neutral state when you exited it to allow remote start next time around..
