Hi, I just installed an auto start with alarm in a 99 expedition. I had no problems with any connections, all seemed to work fine, but when I open the doors after disarming the alarm, the engine stalls and the doors lock!! never had this happen before and I have installed many of the same systems. Please help me out!!!!!!!

Try to disconnect the door trigger wire(s) and see if the problem persists.

What wire did you grab for the door trigger ? This is what you should have done: DOOR TRIGGER lt. blue/white *3 |- | keyless module *2 *2 The keyless module is located high in the drivers kick against the firewall. *3 One of two. The wire is in pin 11 and it is next to the BLACK/ pink wire. Test with a digital multi-meter ONLY, to keep from damaging the circuit tied into the other lt. blue/white. ------------- Jeff

Hi Jeff, Still doesn't work!! car still shuts off! I was thinking! if the alarm is disarmed the - input trigger shouldn't be sensing an open zone, it should allow that zone to be open? Could there be somthing wrong with the alarm brain? Also, the door lock keep moving slightly after I disarm. I have the alarm set to single pulse and .8 second pulse? I am not shure if this has something to do with the factory alarm or keyless entry?

Hi. Sounds like your remote starter might be set to Voltage sensing. When you open your doors perhaps the remote starter is picking up too much of a draw and therefore shuts down. See if your unit has an option for voltage sensing vs tach. What kind of unit are you using?

Hi Jeff, I am using (amenity Pro-start 3300) I just talked to the person that i put this alarm in for and he says that if he turns on the parking or head lights, the radio shuts off!! Could this have something to do with the parking light wire?

Sounds to me like the radio was replaced and whoever put it in mistook the illumination wire for a ground- common mistake. I don't see how that could be related to the other problem you mentioned. Maybe I misunderstood

Hi Everything in the truck is factory. I have never had this happen before. I had one more question, the alarm and aoutostart are one unit, This is the digram I went by to install the unit. I am wondering? I tied the 12v alarm module wire to the two heavy guage auto start(+) wires . dont know if that is proper or if the module wire should be on a swiched ignition wire? red 12v input + = green\purple or yellow red 12v input + = yellow 12v output igniton #1 = blue/light green brown 12v output ignition/ accessory #2 = grey / YELLOW orange 12v output accessory = RED / black violet 12v output starter output = red light blue blue hood swich input(-) = pin orange (-) output when running = not used yellow brake light (+) = light green(+) green (-) input trigger =light blue white pin # 11DOOR TRIGGER lt. blue/white *3 |- | keyless module *2 *2 The keyless module is located high in the drivers kick against the firewall. *3 One of two.
