2002 f150 2nd accessory

Hello, I have a 2002 F150 that I am installing a DEI 563t remote starter into. According to the wiring info, it has 2 ignition and 2 accessory connections and of course my remote starter only has 3 outputs. I assume I am supposed to use a relay from an output on the remote starter to connect to the second accessory wire on the truck? I guess I am second guessing myself about this because nothing that I have read yet says that I need to. Can somebody please shine some light on this for me?

What other option do you have? none. You don't want to jump from one to the other.... not safe. Does your unit have extra negative outputs for secon start, accs, ign. ? Use one of these to trigger

your relay, or use the first pos. out put to trigger. This output you can split.

And here is proof that you need to test all potential connections. Wiremagic shows 1 ign. and 2 accs.   Astro shows 1 ign. and 3 accs.

Thank you for the response. So I have my relay, and am a bit confused as to what goes where in this application. I guess I am new to relays in general...

I know 30 goes to the accessory in the vehicle and I understand that 85 goes to the (-) output on the remote starter, but I am not sure which terminals I actually need to power up. Specifically, do I really have to power up 86 with an existing accessory wire from the remote starter/vehicle?

86 and 87 to constant power. Should be fused....20 amp fuse should work fine.
85 - 2nd accessory wire output of remote start. WIll be an orange wire in a 4 pin harness that plugs into the relay pack.
30 - connect to 3rd accessory wire in car.
87a - not used

I believe that truck has 1 ignition and 3 accessory wires. DEI always listed a grey / YELLOW as 2nd ignition, when it really test as an accessory wire (it loses power during crank). Connect the pink/white output to the grey / YELLOW and then go into programming and change it over to accessory instead of the default ignition.

Thank you for clarifying the relay for me! As far as the ignition/acc wires, I think I'm still missing something. Here is how I have it setup right now:

Orange > Grey / YELLOW
Pink/White > RED / Black
Pink > Dark Blue/Lt Green

The last accessory wire (BLACK/ green) appears to only power the radio and wipers......two things you'd probably prefer off during remote start anyway.

I've done most of my F150s with that wire unpowered, and they didn't come back.

But I've heard from other installers that on many Fords, that wire also feeds the air-conditioning compressor and/or enables the alternator.

You could connect everything minus the BLACK/ green, try the remote start before putting the car back together............test that the AC blows cold, and measure the battery voltage to make sure it's a higher voltage when the engine's running (to make sure the alternator's working)................might be more than you want to bother with, but it's an option.
