I have a 1995 Acura Integra with a Viper 791VX Paging alarm with the LCD remote.
I haven't started my car for about 2 weeks and the battery was slowly dying. The alarm would still arm/unarm though. The horn was very weak though. Just today, someone set it off and I disarmed it. I did a motorswap right after (so the battery was unplugged for about 5 hours) and now my alarm won't arm anymore. I didn't unplug any cables underneath the dash at all. All the other electronics (lights, fog lights, interior lights, radio, etc) work just fine. My remote just keeps beeping 6 times (like the car is not in range). I even put the remote right under the dash where the brain is and armed it and still nothing. Makes me think there's no power going to the alarm or something at all. I didn't install the alarm. I bought the car with the alarm installed. I have no idea where the antenna is either.
Any suggestions?

you need to bust out the install book and reprogram the remote to the brain.
open drivers door, press the push button valet/programming switch one time, then press and hold it in... the LED should flash once.. press button one on the new remote, then press it a second time... the siren should chirp once to acknowledge that it's programmed....
you NEED the programming push switch in order to learn a new remote...

I've tried your instructions and it still won't work. I searched and found some other instructions where you press the valet button 9x and even 8x and both ways don't work.
Basically, I open a door, turn the key to II, I press the valet button and release (or press 9x or 8x and release), then press and hold and the horn beeps 9x. Then I press the button on the remote and my remote still does the 6x beep like it's out of range. I then release the valet button and then it beeps once and then the horn goes off like when the alarm is set off for like 1 sec.
No go.
Is there another way to reprogram the remote or is my problem something else?

I brought it to an authorized dealer to reprogram it and it wasn't the problem. They even tried a different remote so it's not my remote. They think it maybe the antenna or something else. I rather not pay $40 bucks for a diagnostic.
Can someone help me out? Only thing that changed from the time it worked to the time it stopped working was the battery was unplugged for about 5 hours.
Which color wire is the antenna wire so I can possibly trace that as I don't see the antenna mounted anywhere.

Hmm, I fixed it by unplugging the brain and replugging it in. Actually, I also deleted all the transmitters and then I just reprogrammed the remote and this time it worked. Not sure which of the two things did it, but it works now. Thanks.
