I own a '95 Jeep Cherokee Country with factory keyless entry. I bought a Prostart Model No. CT3300 and I have the auto starter hooked up but not the keyless entry. It is a pain to have the starter remote and the factory keyless one. I believe my door locks are negative fed? Do I need relays to make this all work? Thanks

lock = ORANGE / purple ( + )
unlock= pink/purple ( + )
both in driver kick panel yes you will need relays.

I know the basics of wiring but know nothing about relays. What do I need to know to buy these?

The Jeep uses a (+) type trigger for it's door lock system. Unless your Prostart has alternating polarity door locks, you will require the use of the relays to convert the (-) signal to a (+) one that the door locks can use.

Go to your local auto parts shop or electroni store & ask for 2 30/40 amp SPDT relays. First off, make sure that the Prostart only has (-) trigger door lock wires . If it has (+) & (-) door lock wires then you do not need the relays.
