Just today my LCD remote went out, well it would transmit to the brain unit and the brain unit would initiat its function but it would not send a confirmation back. Then it just stopped working altogether.
The car was armed, so I set off the alarm getting into it, then went to unplug the brain unit. When I plugged the brain unit back in, the alarm went off again, with no response from the LCD remote or valet switch. After unplugging every trigger to the brain unit (and only plugging the main harness back in) I tried to see if my alarm would still go off, which it did...
Has my brain unit gone bad or is there something else going on?
Thanks,
Nate

I cut every wire except the brown (siren) and RED / black (power/ground) wires and the alarm still trips?
Any idea how exactly it just went bad?
Now I need a replacement brain module to control all my senors and remote start... Are most company's harnesses/LCD pagers compatible... I have a clifford LCD remote, will it work with a Viper/Python/Autopage brain?
What are some good brain units... I really only need something to control my other senors, add-ons...

Scratch Autopage.... Are Clifford LCD Remotes/Harnesses compatible with all other DEI products, such as Viper/Python/Avital/Hornet systems?
Should I invest in this new SST technology? Cracked up to what its supposed to be (1 Mile Range) Is the remote the SST technology or the brain unit as well?

The crystal went on LCD pager, you should have had a second remote (one way) to turn the alarm off then got your pager repaiRED / replaced.
