I am trying to install a valet 712t system in my 1992 Mustang 5.0L LX. I understand from reading that I will be using the 5 wire alternating 12v positive door locks (correct me if I'm wrong here).

I also have the following information regarding the 712t haress:
1- Red (+)12v constant power input
2- Blue (-2)200mA second unlock output
3- blk/wh1 Input domelight supervision relay #87
4- blk/wh Output domelight supervision relay #30
5- GREEN/ blk Lock #30 Common output
6- wh/blk Lock #87 Normally closed
7- Violet/blk Lock #87 Normally open (input)
8- Blue/blk Unlock #30 Common (output)
9- Violet Unlock #87 Normally open (input)
10- White (+/-) Parking light flash output
11- Black (-)Chassis ground input
12- Brown (-)Horn honk output
13- Lt Grn/blk Factory Alarm disarm
14- WHITE/ Blue (-)200mA Ch3 validity output
15- Yellow (+)Switched ignition input(accessory
16- Orange (-)500mA Ground-when-armed Output
17- BROWN / Blk Unlock #87A Normally Closed
18- RED / White (-)Output of Channel 2

Now when I compare the diagram for 5 wire systems to the 712t installation guide their seems to be a discrepancy. The relay diagram shows two 87A connections (one for each relay) being used. The 712t manual only lists the Unlock 87A relay connection (wire 17). Should wire 6 actually be referring to 87A or am I still completely confused here?

Yep, you are right.... h1/6 should be 87a

thanks for the quick response. I was pretty sure that was the case, but didn't want to chance it and wind up hurting something.
