Have a 2003 Blazer and a DEI-28624TN Remote starter to install. Just making sure I am getting the right immobilizer bypass before tangling with this. AutoCommand.com says to use Part# GMBP with alternates of PLJX, 556LW, 555LW, DesignTech 20402, DesignTech 29402. Are there any pitfalls ahead using the GMBP part or is one of the alternates a better choice? Thanks
I guess it depends on how easy of a bypass you want. The self learning ones learn the value needed on their own such as the 555l which is now a 556lw. Or a xk06 with PLXR firmware would work good too. If you don't have a lot of experience with these I wouldn't do it yourself without someone to help you who knows what they are doing. You may spend hours and hours troubleshooting why the car won't start or stay running if you attempt without some previous experience. Anti-theft bypasses are a pain to deal with even when your a professional.

The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya
Thanks for the reply. You read this perfectly. I can put batteries in the flashlight and even program the VCR, but I'm lucky to have someone w/electronics experience to tackle this, I just want to have the right gear for it. Truth be told, it's so everyone's favorite bartender doesn't freeze her _ss off in the cold NY winters! So if I know which bypass to use/provide we'll all be a lot happier! I think I shouldn't have bitten off this much but, I think eventually we can make it work (with your help. of course!).
Many thanks!
