I have a autopage 2 way rs727 i am installing in a 92 Ford Escort GT.

I want to have dome supervision, but dont know how i am to wire it. I was thinking of using the wire for the door switch to activate the dome when the relay energizes via the controller. My issue is that i want to have the neg door trigger input hooked into the alarm at the door switch, but am wondering if the dome turnon will screw with the trigger. Do i need to isolate the trigger and dome relay from each other and how would i place the cathode/anode in relation to each wire?

Thanks, Lou

you got a negative domelight trigger. use a relay and wire like so

85 - domelight wire from unit.
86 - constant 12v
87 - ground
30 - domelight wire on car (go to light) OR tag door pin

if i rememer, autopage units have selectable polarity for domelight. Also they can ignore door triggers for 45 seconds then will arm.

OK, but when the alarm triggers, the dome will flash, wont that send a false signal to the door pin trigger and keep it going off?

the domelight does NOT flash when the alarm wails - thats parking lights ONLY. the domelight will only come on when you DISARM your system. this will not false door triggers as you are only tagging the domelight.

you can also do this method, same principal, but this for sure makes your domelight supervision work and without triggering the alarm(if it does happen)

85 - domelight wire from unit.
86 - constant 12v
87 - ground
87a - door pin wire on car (pin side)
30 - door pin or domelight wire on car (go to light) - tag the wire AFTER your door pin connection to the alarm

when the relay is energized, the connection is broken between 87a and 30. the new continuity is from 87 to 30. this will power your domelight only. but other method works as well.
