The headlights or the parking lights?

This is a hard one to F up. Hard to imagine. The tech sheets are PLAIN as day.

Have the "idiots" told you anything about WHY the lights do what they do, and why they don't do what they don't do?

I would check the fuse on the white wire from the alarm, and check the connection point.

If the headlight switch is unplugged it will stay on as well. Could be they did not properly plug it back in. We did a heated seat job on a new 2008 mustang a couple months ago so that is why I know that is what happens with it unplugged. If that isn't the case then they might not have wired the parking lights the right way. In some fords if you use the switch you have to run a relay to break the circuit due to the auto lamp feature. If you do not you can damage the circuit causing the lights to not go off.

The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya

well if the intsaller messed up, he cant make you go buy parts - he/theshop should be covering all damage done to the car from their install.
