i know what its used for i already have a electroluminescemt armed indicator hooked up to it,,,but i want to know which way to hook up the diode so that i can attach my orange wire from my t360 tilt sensor up to my alarm?

The output is ground, so if you want to isolate two devices you would want the stripes on each diode to closest to the alarm unit (facing away from the sensors/devices).
