I have a 97 tahoe i found the horn relay in the relay box under the hood.. Do i hook it to that? Or  Do i have to have a hole diffrent relay i would buy form parts store or something?  If i could hook it up to the horn relay  thats already factory in the truck, What prong would i have to tap into.. Please help.. Im stumped..

There is a black wire in the harness from the steering column, it's a negative trigger so you should be able to test it and wire directly without a relay.

TEST all connections.

If you don't have a multimeter get one. borrow one if you must.

Your truck is worth far more than the cost of this tool you will use for the rest of your life.

Safety first, but if you just wanna go tapping into black wires willy-nilly     have at it.

The horn wire will go to ground when you honk it.

go buy a digital multi meter and test for continuity to ground on the proposed black wire when honking the horn
