I work for a company installing a form of starter disable. These new GM cars are a pain.Basically this one I used the standard wires for 12v,ign and horn. But I had to dig around to find a true wire to the starter. 10 gauge purple in the harness between master and fusebox.
No big deal but this week seems like one new car after another.Between the cars that sense the drop out and the pushbutton starts my job is getting more and more interesting.
So I got this one done...on to the next one.

I have been looking for something like this but I'm not sure how it would work for my application. I have a relay kit I install, it hooks to 12v,ign,horn,ground and has a separate interrupt relay. when the right sequence is given the relay closes and allows the car to start. I'm not sure how this setup would work. If the SIM-GM is used I could make our relay close to ground on the Brown wire on the SIM-GM. Would that allow a start? how does this interrupt the start? Is it blocking via the data line?

That would probably work...I've never used one of these but I would imagine that it blocks by either changing the resistance on the data line, or keeping the accessory hot(the car looks for acc. drop out as a signal that it should crank).
You're on the right track with making the relay close to ground. I think that will work for what you need - only other thing is the green GWA input would need to be permanently grounded.
