Hey!

As the topic says, I am installing an alarm and want to connect it to the cars centrallock-system.
The car is a BMW E36 91model.

My alarm has six different diagrams for centrallock-connection..
I'm not sure, but i think i should use "positive triggering" at this car???

Diagrams from alarm instructions:

Its positive going, connections are inside the contol box on these early versions. If you are lucky there is a previous alarm using this.

CDL relay that year is by the steering column, remove plug, pin 24 is lock pos and pin 25 is unlock pos, you will have to insert wires yourself or make up terminals.

Hmm...

But.., i can connect the wires from the alarm between one of the central-lock motors and the central-lock unit..??

(Its 5 or 6 wires for each of the front doors..)

(the car is from mount 11 year 1991)

You talked about CDL relay.., what is that..??

Again, thanks for any answers :-)

What you are suggesting is a waste of time and probably wont work because of the CDL relay to the side of the steering column.

Well..., it won't work to connect the cables from the alarm to a unlock & a lock cable to give them 12v to lock & unlock the car..??
If i use a multimeter to test witch cables that get power when lock&unlock, and use this cables connecting to the alarm.., this woun't work???

What is the CDL relay.., and what is it's work..???

Thank you! :-)

I have tried to search for CDL on the internet, but i do not fint mutch.... CDL doesn't mean Central Dead Lock ???

I am going to use a multimeter to test if there is outputs from the six wires in the door, and voltage soon, if someone can't tell me more :-)

Again, Thanks for all help!
