i have an 08 Mazda 3 with no power locks. I was just going to add actuators but when i got the door off i found that it already had actuators and wiring going to them. I then proceeded to to the the GREEN/ red wire for unlock with a straight negative and I could hear a relay click by the fuse block. I checked the fuses listed for door locks and they were all good. Does anyone know if i can just tie into the yellow/black and WHITE/ black in a 5 wire configuration and the locks will work or do i need to go into each door?

Thanks
Rob

You have a 2008 Mazda without power door locks? Does this car even exist?

This car has a 1 wire lock set up. can be found in the drivers kick.

ya its the base modle. no power anything. but the actuators are there. I tried using the door lock wire and the relay clicked but none of the actuators worked. can i just 5 wire it?

Can you take a peek into the drivers kick to see if the lt.grn/red lock wire is even there?

If the car has actuators, I gotta think that it's wired, just no switches. maybe?

On this wire lock is ground pulse thru a 1K ohm resistor, and unlock is straight ground.

Also look for BLACK/ wht, and a blk/blue, same location these are arm and disarm wires. test with the key in the door.

I would look for these options before 5 wiring every door.

the green and red is there i tried pulsing it with a straight ground to see if it would unlock and all i got was a relay click. then i looked for the black and white and the black and blue and tried to pulse those with a ground and again i got the relay to click but no actuator move ment. I am thinking that the actuators in the doors might just be unpluged and that if i can find where it will be as simple at pluging a connector in and then everything should work. Also i tried testing with the key in the drivers door and got nothing on all 3 wires.

All of these cars do NOT come with power door locks, Ive installed actuators in 1 for a sidejob a couple months ago. Adding actuators is pretty simple if you have experience installing actuators.
