Hello

Does anyone know of a way to add a trunk release system to a factory keyless entry system? The car does not have a button on the keyfob for the trunk release, and the trunk release is a standard cable pull from the drivers seat on the floor. The installation of the trunk pop actuator is not the problem. Is there an output of the BCM (Body Control Module) (or whatever a Mazda 3 has)that would allow the operator to hold the unlock button for an extended amount of time, or press the unlock button twice to open the trunk?

Has anyone made this sort of mod? Please let me know.

Thanks

If you could live with pressing lock then pressing unlock within a half a second or so to open the trunk.  I can help you with that.   It will take 3 relays to accomplish this task.  If the above sequence will work for you, I need to know whether the output of the keyless module is a positive or negative pulse.
