hello i have hopes you can help me i changed the steering column in my 1996 Chevy Lumina Ls ,with a 3.1 ,and now the anti theft security light is flashing and the car wont turn over ,I thought it might be because of the resistor on the key! so I swapped the ignition and the tumbler, so i could use my old keys and it still wont turn over is there any thing I can do to get it out of the anti theft mode other then a dealer i have read about the bypass but can i do that once the anti theft has been activated thank you in advanced for any help you can give me

The PassKey decoder module probably isn't receiving the signal from your key.
What you need to do is first check to make sure the wires were reconnected after the column swap - they will be 2 white wires in an orange sheath. They need to be connected at the key cylinder and also at the main ignition harness connector(the one that bolts together).
