I successfully installed a Clifford 20.5x remote start on my wife's 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe (thanks to some very helpful people on this site). Now I'd like to use one of the optional outputs to turn on the heated seats. Anyone done this on this vehicle? Is it easiest to tie in behind the switch or is there an easier/better way to do it? Any specific instructions on how to do it and what additional stuff I need (relays/diodes) would be most appreciated. Thanks.
Paul
This is somewhat conjecture because I can't find a manual for your RS. That said, if you have an aux. output from the 20.5x you should be golden.
You'll have to figure out the heated seat switches - I would strongly suggest
ALLData or Mitchell info. They sell single-vehicle subscriptions for $24.95/year to start, which works out great if you work on your personal vehicle a lot.
I would expect that you'll need at least one relay per seat...probably no diodes unless you'd like to run both seats off of one output.

hey chris, i though you used wiremagic or astro. i know wiremagic has little info like that, but astro is more precise.
Nah...I use Scytek's wiring info program. Free to dealers, and really not that bad, though I don't think they give heated seat info for any cars. They do usually have rear defroster info however. ALLDATA I use for my personal vehicles since it has much more detailed information.
yamadogger, if you get further along in your job there feel free to PM me with any questions you have.

Astro has nothing!
AH but they do show the defroster, wich activates the back glass, mirrors and front defrost (if it's got it)
Back of the BCM/fuse box brown wire negative pulse. Connector B
