i am about to install a viper 1002 into my 07 sentra. on the vehicle data base on this site, the door trigger wire is not really clear. i then found this page...
https://www.commandocaralarms.com/wiring/2007-/Nissan/Sentra/1269.html
and it says to diode each of the 4 trigger wires. can i just use the dome light illumination wire and still have dome light supervision connected to the same point? do they need to be isolated if i do?
thanks.

thanks.
i have a few more questions pertaining to this install. i just opened up the kick panel and found 2 wire bundles, one presumably goes up to the door, and the other goes down into the floor. in the door one i found the 2 power door wires, pink and red, but there is a large gauge and small gauge, does it matter which one i tap into?
and, i assume, on the lower one i found the door trigger (RED / white) and the parking light wire (RED / blue). if i'm in the right spot and the color matches the database, should i just go for it? is there a way to test it with out striping the insulation?
thanks again.

i have to bump this...
has any of you installed an alarm in a new sentra?
i still can't find a suitable door trigger. i would prefer the dome light, but the red and black wires at the kick (going to the dome light), each always show 12v and ground respectively. i am measuring ground by continuity and 12v with a meter to ground. yet the dome goes off with the door closed.
the RED / white wire in the wiring databases always yield ground, but made my continuity checker make a weird nose.
can anyone give me some insight? if i don't find it, i will just wire a switch to the alarm input so i can program it.

My info says door trigger should be light blue(-) in the driver's side harness to the rear of the car.

thank you, i guess i have one more wire to test.
where was this info? the wiring database here says its RED / white, codesystems says RED / white, commandocaralarms says its RED / white and wiring instructions says red at the bcm (for dome light), and all of them are wrong.
i would like one connection for all door trigger, but i would take just one.

oh i wont. i just want to find the dang wire before the alarm arrives friday. i also assume that the one lt blue wire will only trigger input for the one door. i suppose i could remove every door trigger switch and look at the wires (to get the color) and tap into those with diodes at the kick panels. i will test it tonight to see.
it sure would be easier to do the dome light, but that has been a problem venture since i started it.
thanks guys

I would assume that the wire works for all doors - usually they specify if individual door triggers are necessary - it's not hard to test and find out.

well that only controls the one door trigger, but i guess i will live with it. don't feel like tapping into all 4 wires with diodes.
thanks for all the help.
