I'm installing a 727t into a 99 4runner and I'm not 100% sure on a few things.

1. The wire for the arm input. Manual says connect to a wire that changes state when doors are locked using factory transmitter. What does "changes state" mean? Would I just connect this to the door lock motor (blue/white wire)?

2. What is the purpose of the disarm defeat input (what does it do)?

Thank you

A. changes state means it will show negative then upon locking it will show positive.
Driver Mtr Unlock PINK/GREEN     (+)     LEFT KICK PANEL
(This wire should show ground when at rest)
Driver Mtr Lock       BLUE/WHITE     (+)     LEFT KICK PANEL
(This wire should show ground when at rest)

For door lock and unlock with ignition you will hook up to these wires from the alarm.
Power Unlock     BLUE / YELLOW & GREEN/ YELLOW (-)     AND RED / BLUE USE BOTH WIRE DIODE ISOLATE - REQUIRES DOUBLE PULSE
Power Lock     BROWN / WHITE          (-)     IN DRIVERS KICK PANEL

2. What is the purpose of the disarm defeat input (what does it do)?

A. It prevents the alarm system from being disarmed if the door lock switch on the door is used. Say someone breaks in and to disarm they just hit the unlock switch, not a very secure way for an alarm disarm procedure. Then what purpose would the alarm serve?

-------------
The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya

Thanks. So to recap, arm input goes to blue/white, disarm goes to pink/green and disarm defeat goes to passenger unlock motor that shows 12V only on second unlock click from remote. Is this right? Thanks again.
