The compustar directions really are horrible. Back in 2000 when i was installing their alarms their install booklets were very thorough....now it seems like a secondary company writes them for firsttech.

well my question is, the older compustar brains had a parking light source in, and output which made it very simple.  The CM brain im installing now has one thick green wire with a fuse on it and the manual labels it just as "Parking Light"

Then there is is a GREEN / WHITE wire labeled (-)light output    which if you read further states "some vehicles such as Jeep, have negative parking lights!

Ok...great..but the car i'm installing this on is a (+) parking trigger.  Is the thick green with a fuse actually a + output?  Or is my only parking output the 250mA - parking output?

thanks!!

its supposed to be GREEN / WHITE on connector 1 for + output. and GREEN / WHITE on connector 2 for - output

Yes you are right....I just found the info also.

On connector 1 the GREEN / WHITE is a + trigger that can be hooked up straight to the parking lots for a positve trigger system.  and the 2nd GREEN / WHITE is a low amp negative trigger

always read, before you say they are horrible. Compustar is probably the high end companies and their units are VERY Reliable and EASY to install.

I actually did read!  The info i found was not in the install manual. I found it by googling it. So my opinion of First Techs install manuals still stands. They are great units, but some of their manuals needs some attention
