Installed a spal power window kit in a 2004 Toyota Corolla(2 front windows only).I used a relay as stated in the spal instruction manual.Everything worked fine for a few hours and then the ignition fuse popped(i had picked ignition from swich harness)
Picked ignition source from fuse block and things were good for about 3 weeks and the windows stopped working. When i tested the igntion source, there was no power there.
Temporarily,i have constant power running instead of switched power and things are working okay.
What should i do?Any feed back will be very much appreciated.
Thanks

Battery, fused 30 amp to 87 and 87a, ground to 85, switched ignition to 86, and feed windows from 30

Yes, the ignition wire you are using should power the relay ONLY, not the windows. It sounds like you have it wired incorrrectly and the windows are getting power from the ignition source...
