I am currently using a Carnetix power supply for my Carputer. The Carnetix power supply provides me a lead wire that turns on my amp when the car is turned on. If I remote start my car, the music starts playing.

What I would like to do is use the Ground When Armed from my alarm system to control a relay that will disable the Remote Turn On lead until I actually unarm my alarm system.

Can someone please provide me some information on what would be the best wiring option to accomplish this?

Thanks in advance.

In order to not have the relay energized the entire time the alarm is armed, The wire from your PC power supply, to terminals 30 and 86.  The ground when armed output of your alarm to terminal 85.  87A needs to your amplifier remote lead.  The only time that the relay will be pulling any current is when the truck is remote started and the alarm is armed.

??? ditto lol.. yea I was thinking of using the current from the Remote turn on to power the relay this way it will only be activated when the power supply and the ground when armed are both active.

Thank you for your help in confirming this for me. Just need the clarification.

By the way, I dont drive a truck :( I drive the extreme opposite. I drive a Yaris lol...
