I've purchased & installed an innotek two way pager alarm/remotestart/keyless combo from an ebay seller named "heiltrading". Overall a nice unit, but i was suprised to find out that the unit did not have a couple features that i was after, such as:

-The quick stop feature where one can press a button on the remote, remove the keys from the ignition, but leave the engine running.

-A brake pedal input. The remote start unit just times out one minute after the door is opened. Pressing the brake pedal does not disengage the remotestart unit

-An input that when grounded begins the remote start sequence so that I could connect a timer module such as the DEI 556T.

I've seen mention on the forums here about the aladdin 2000 which appears identical externally to the unit that I purchased. But are they programmed the same internally?

Does a version of the aladdin or innotek unit exist with the features that i'm after? I've got another install to do and the person really likes the feature set of the innotek unit but also wants to connect an external timer too.

That is odd, they are suppose to be the same unit internally & externally. The Aladdin a-2000 has all those features you are asking about, but i'm really surprised that the Innotek doesn't have those features seeing that the brake input is almost mandatory for safety reasons as well as security reasons.

The innotek unit also does not have a hoodpin input. But since the vehicle will not remote start unless all the doors are closed & the alarm is armed, one can disable remote starting while the hood is ajar by diode isolating a hoodpin switch and connecting it to the door trigger input.

Lack of a brake pedal is indeed a little suprising, but the unit does shut off the car immediatetly if the alarm is armed and a door is opened. Or in the disarmed state, disengages one minute after a door is opened.

Looking at your website, i see that you sell both the Aladdin 2000 & the Lynx. What's the difference between the two units?

Also, what have you observed the aladdin a-2000 has for a useable transmitter range?

if you need another innotek alarm, i have one for sale that i bought from the same guy on ebay, and i just decided not to use it?? Except i got all the optional accessories that he listed including the siren, the leather case for the remote, the shock sensor, and the knock/temp sensor. i will sell for 250.00, that is what i have into it.
