Hi guys. One of my stallmates has a 2000 camry stuck in his bay. Customer imported the car from Texas and no remote was provided when he bought the car. When entry is attempted the alarm goes off and the vehicle will not start. Is there a way to disable this so we can do an import inspection, safety and e-test o0n this car?

did you guys do an alarm and remote install on the car at all?

you might have missed the factory disarm wire

Get under the dash.... disconect the 12 source, and put the starter wire back together (from the starter kill relay)

I am assuming this is an aftermarket alarm giving you the fritz, not the OE.

The battery wire is white, the starter is red.

I second that it's an aftermarket alarm - factory alarm on that Camry would disarm as soon as the key was inserted in the ignition.

after thinking about it, i guess both of you are correct. its for sure an aftermarket alarm. Do what KTM mentioned. get under the dash and look for the RED wire. there should be a relay in line somewhere. remove the relay and its harness if there is one, reconnect it and SOLDER the connection. dont just wrap and tape.
