Can anyone help me determine which alarm/remote start is easier to install and which is better quality - the Autostart 6450 or Ultrastart 2270?

I found a couple of private deals on new ones for only $85 each, but don't know which to choose.

The car is a 91 Civic dx automatic with air conditioning and no other options. Also, I'm assuming both alarms can use the blue wire off the distributor as the tach wire.

Thanks for any advise.

Ultrastarts have been giving me trouble lately in extreme cold weather (colder than 20 degrees Farenheight) ... 1270 and 2270 models....

The issue is that it'll get half way through the remote start sequence and then quit .. requiring the user to shutdown, and then re-remote start .. at which point it'll start up just fine.

The ultrastarter is otherwise pretty bullet-proof.. however, this starter's "bug" is a pretty significant one ..

I dont' have any experience with the Autopage.. but I know guys on here (professionals) that swear by it.

yeahp... tach = blue @ distributor .. same for both models of r/s (ultra and autopage). Just make sure you use a voltmeter to test your wire prior to connecting it.

Thanks for your comments, but the other model is an Auotstart and not Autopage (are they the same?) If not could you comment on the Autostart model?

oops.. didn't read carefully .. I was referring to Autopage .. not Autostart...

Unfortunately, i have no experience w/ Autostart either, but don't really know enough about them...
