I just got a varad scanner and was wanting to know if i need to use diodes, i have a clifford 50.5x with a dei 530t hooked to the windows, to close the windows i used the orange ground when armed. Do i need to use a diode when i hook the scanner to this wire and do i need to add another diode to the orange wire on  window module,if i do which way does the diode need to be?

Yes, you should diode isolate all the devices on the orange (-) when armed wire.

The stripe of the diode will face the alarm brain.  The non-striped side of each diode will attach to the device (one to the scanner, one to the window module).
