We had tested these door locks at the door s switch panel and found the blue wire was neg lock and a solid red unlock ( double pulse ) but when trying to trace thru the door harness we could find no signal for lock or unlock, i am wondering if anybody has found this problem. I had also gone into the bcm and could not get any signal out of it. We ended up running two wires into the switch itself. I am wondering if there is an easyier way.

According to the wiring chart that I have the wires are located at the door only ( -) trigger for both. OEM alarm is armed and disarmed through lock/unlock.

We had initially thought that the wires in the door were for the door locks only, the strange thing is that if the pulse to the door lock is too long the windows will start to roll down. It seems there is a logic board on the switch panel itself. I am wondering if there are any other wires we could use to get the door locks to work other than these as the alarm system we are using has an unusualy long pulse . Also I have some problems with door trigger as there are no pin switches in the door and the signal comes from the door latch assy.

Every new Nissan I've worked on uses the same doorlock system; I couldn't imagine the Murano would be any different. Locks are negative trigger from the door key cylinder to the power window/lock switch...which also functions as a door ECU. The door ECU then sends data through the doorboot and into the car.

You could ask the people at transponderbypass.com if they're going to come out with any Nissan databus interfaces anytime soon. For now, though, you'll have to go into the door.

As for the windows rolling up and down, most Nissans are set up for this, and you can make a cool feature for your customer. Use a "validity" auxuillary channel tied to the lock or unlock wire, and the windows will move as the user holds the remote button.

For door trigger, you can usually get them inside the car someplace. You can print up some tech sheets from other Nissans and use them as a guideline, or else find the correct wire inside the driver's door, and then look for the same color inside the car somewhere.

Or, you may actually be able to use the car's horn as a door trigger-----when a theif opens the door, the factory alarm will sound the horn....and your alarm will see this. It works out pretty cool, except you can't do passive arming with this method.

Thanks for the posting, I kind of figured that i would have to go into the door lock cyl to trigger the locks, I was going to operate the solenoid its self with relays to get the locks to go. I'll give it a try and see what happens, As for the door trigger, I can find soemthing to get the trigger for it, i just don't have much time on each alarm to research each avenue. Thanks again.

I finally figured the Murano,s door lock problem out. After 3 different alarm systems installed we figured out the pulse time provided was still too long to keep the windows from being rolled down, so after some thought i took the drivers switch panel apart and found the lock / unlock circut and ran a couple of wires and soldered right into the board. Good soldering skills a must, Kind of drastic but i figured the only rock solid and quick way to get the system working right. Door trigger wire is in the harness to the switch panel. Anyway hope this may help some.
