Sounds like it has nothing to do with the remote starter.

Do you have powers on the Ignitions when you turn the Key on? If you don't have power turning the Ignition switch over than you might have battery problem. Check the battery with a Meter and see if the batter shows 12.5 volts than is good. If the battery shows less than 12 volts or more than 12.7 volts than your battery has problems. You will need to replace the battery. It has a bad cell and doesn't hold any charge.
Can you arm and disarm the alarm system? Can you turn on the head light? If you can arm and disarm the alarm system or head light turns on than you might have alarm and starter problem.
Good luck

Does your radio or anything on the ignition circuit power up with the key?

If it was just the switch, then the remote starter should still work. Does it try to turn over?

a couple of questions:
1) Can you still remote start the vehicle? ie. does the Starter Motor crank?
2) If so, and you're not able to start the vehicle with your key, check your Starter Kill Relay. It's possible that the crimp/connection from key side of the Starter wire to the relay has failed or disconnected.
let us know the exact diagnosis...

Check the fuses on the car, on the rs, and I would also check the connection of the starter kill. Something may have shorted out and blown a fuse going to the starter or on the rs harness. If you can pull the dash and take a meter or a test light and test the starter wire and see if it has voltage when you crank.

Make sure the car's all the way in Park. Just for the hell of it, put it in Neutral and wiggle the shifter around a bit.
Also, are the headlights bright? Are they still bright when you turn the key to the Start position?

Thats is confusing, you replaced a fuse or a relay, and then 5 minutes later it just started up on its own?
And nothing works remotely unless the key is in the run psition? ARe you saying that when the key is in the run position that all of a sudden your transmitters will start to work again and allow you to lock and unlock your doors and start the engine too?
I have a few ideas of what may be causing the problem, but we need more details.

Does the starter crank when you try to start with the key? Does your fan and accessories turn on? Does your Ignition turn on, which would be the dash lights, like check engine light and oil pressure light etc.?

Ok so the next thing to check is your relays in the remote starter harness. It sounds like you may have a couple of bad relays. This would all make sense if you had a bad relay or two: The one for your Ignition and possibly the one for your starter. I am saying this because When you use the key, the starter doesnt crank which means one of two things: 1, that your starter kill is working properly and the alarm is still armed; or 2, that the starter kill relay is normally open (not likely). And since the remote starter does not start the car unless the key is in the run position, it sounds like that relay must be bad.
I still find it wierd that the keyless entry does not work unless the key is in the run position. I am still working on that one
