I am installing a hornet 564t on a 99 tahoe.  the truck had a remote start from the previous owner, so i do not know any thing about it.  It has a mudule on it that says pass2 i assume this is the bypass.  my questions are, does anybody have a wiring diagram for this. also when i remote start it will start then die but when i put the key in and turn to ign postion it will remote start but will not stay runningwith key in ignition in off position.  I think it is a bypass issue but would like to check wiring first.  also does anyone know how to reprogram unit.  I only have one key.  key is a factory small black key.  does not look like a transponder key but could be.  any help would be apprieciated need to get this wrapped up

Chev used Passlock2 for a long time. This system runs on a resistance out of the cylinder itself. There is a small yellow wire coming out of the passlock module that transmits this information to the bcm telling the vehicle a valid key turn was made. This prevents hot wiring but any key that fits will work. Multiple keys are not required for programming. I use DEI 1700G or 457G modules for those. Also the Bypasskit XK01 works or the idatalink ADS-TBSL-GM (or any of numerous other iDatalink stuff) works as well. Most other modules require a manual to know how to set a bunch of jumper switches to the right voltage. I would need an actual model number of the module to offer anything else.

PS: you could try unplugging the module, push the little button on it if there is one, plug it back in, and then start with the key. Might work, might not.
