I am new to installing electronics. I am trying to install a Commando FM-760 RS, Alarm & Keyless entry. I have followed the direction in the manual but am haveing some problems. Any help anyone can give would be appreciated.

1. The remote start will not do anything I get no turn over at all. I have the Violet wire from connector H1 connected to the yellow start wire on the van. The Yellow wire from H1 is connected to pink/white on the van, the Pink wire from H1 is connected to nothing, the brown wire from H1 is not connected either & the two red wires from H1 are connected to WHITE/ red wire on the top connector of the BCM.

2. The parking lights do not work at all either. I had the white wire from H2 connected to the WHITE/ tan wire of the van at the light switch. I get the chirps from the siren but the lights do not flash.

3. Where do the blue and green wires from the DLR get connected on the van. I assume they go to PURPLE / green or PURPLE / L. blue is this correct? Do I need to install resistors inline with these two wires.

The alarm works, you can arm & disarm and trigger through the doors and hood so I know I am sending a signal and the module is receiving the signal.

Thanks for any help.

EnglandDazz,

For beginners, that vehicle has a Second Starter wire thats PURPLE / Brown at the ignition that needs to see a Negative signal through a 180 Ohm resistor during crank.

the parking Lights also need a 2K Resistor with a negative pulse to activate.

The door locks are mutiplexed and also need resistors.
This means there is only one wire that locks and unlocks the doors. You will need a 5.3K resistor to Lock and a 2K resistor to unlock.
You sure picked a good one to learn on!!

Email me if you would like some thorough wiring information emailed to you and/or help.
