ok heres the deal, ive done two mazda tributes that have turned out to be nothing but problems with transponder bypass. they work fine for awhile but once it gets cold outside, like 10 degrees at night, they stop working, theyll crank, but wont start and the security key light starts flashing on the dash which indicates the transponder signal from the buried key isnt working properly. now i would like to think that im not that stupid, i mean ive done hundreds upon hundreds of remote starters, and i just think its kind of odd that i have two vehicles that are both mazda tributes having these problems. Ive heard of the transponder keys not working properly when they get extremely cold, is this true? has anyone had similiar problems like this before with tributes? thanks....

Yes, I have had the same problem. It is only on ford, mazda etc., not chrysler vehicles. It is such a pain in the ass.

Yeah, my friend did one Mazda tribute same problem. ever since no Mazda Tributes for me, the transponders are very sensitive to cold weather.
