2003 accord central locking

Hi guys

Wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of what wires to tag for the central locking on a 2003 honda accord,its a jdm car but seems to share everything the same as the uk spec.All the wires in the tech sheet match up bar the central locking which say pinks at thh green plug to left of the fusebox,ive found the green plug but no pink wires there.

Testing all the wires at the plug none are going to ground nor 12v upon lock/unlock

Any help grately appreciated

I'm over here in the U.S. We have the US-style Accord, and there's also the Acura TSX, which I've read is either (I forget) a European or Japanese Accord.

For us, both cars have the same wiring.

I'll tell you what I know about the U.S. cars, and maybe it'll help a little.

--The lock/unlock switch on the driver's door communicates with the rest of the car by data. There are no wires for you to find or test.

--However, the passenger door is connected to the interior of the car with regular wires that you can test and tie into.

In the driver's kick panel area, remove the panel so you can see the fuse box.

If your car is built the same as ours here, the area that has the fuses would be pointing to, let's say, the driver's toes.

The side of the fuse box that is pointing toward the back of the car, toward the trunk, should have two plugs in it.

In the lower of these two plugs, around halfway down, we have a pink/black, and a pink, side by side.

Pink/black is lock, but to test, you MUST be pushing on the switch in the PASSENGER door. Pink is unlock.

Even if you have different wire colors, try testing all the wires in that lower plug. It helps if you have a second person to manipulate the passenger lock switch for you.

P.S. To arm and disarm the factory alarm, you still need to run wires into the driver's door.

At the power window switch in the driver's door, WHITE/ red should test while turning the key (in the outside of the driver's door) to the lock position......that's your arm wire.

The white wire tests by turning the key in the other direction, and this is the disarm wire.

P.P.S. You could save some time by purchasing one of the modules on the market that tie into the car's databus and will control the locks/alarm for you, but I don't know if a U.S. databus module would work on your car.

Thanks for the info,On my fusebox ive got 1 green plug in the side of it facing to the rear,theres no pink wires in it but ill double check it again for testing,although at the top of the fusebox ive also got two plugs not conncected to the fuse box in green that would be facing to the rear of the car.

I had been using the lock/inlock button in the drivers door armrest as reference for testing so i need to go back and test but with someone locking and unlocking via the passenger side correct?

Ive got no factory alarm on the car only keyless entry so does the end bit still apply?

Just an update,tried the above this afternoon but no joy.No pink wires coming from the plug but anyhow i had a friend operate the passenger side locks whilst probing but there were no changes in readings whatsoever.I also noticed that pushing the drivers door pin down locks all doors but pulling it up only opens the drivers door,and opening or closing the passenger side pin has no effect on any of the other doors

why don't you simplier pull the switch out off the armrest ? see what color are lock/unlock wires. Then check to see if you can find them at the green plug on the side of fuse box.

I tested every wire at the switch and can only find two that pulse there on lock and unlock,one goes to +4v on lock and ground on unlock,the other vice versa

which door switch you tried ? If you did on the left door, then you should try the right door.

The right (drivers) door,theres no unlock/lock switch at the passenger side just the pin that you manually pop up and down to lock,altho lifting up or down doesnt lock or unlock any of the other doors

Hmm...  you only have one single lock/unlock switch ? Im not sure it is multiplexed (data) or hardwired to the fuse/relay box.

btw what are the 2 wires you had tested that read ground or +4v or vise versa when you press lock or unlock?

Yep,in the drivers door where the window and electric mirror switch is ive got the lock and unlock button,bare in mind its a jdm car so that may be why but ive never seen the same or simular problem on any honda before.

I metered all the wires at the switch, about 4 of them are resting at ground,when locked or unlocked they pulse to 4v then drop after a few seconds to 0v.

4 wires also go to the actuator,2 which seems to power it by pulsing 12v on lock/unlock and a WHITE/ black and yellow/red that again pulse 4v and then drop to 0

I also found a picture of an LHD accord and the 2 green plugs that are on the side of the fusebox on the US version arent on the side of mine so that kind of rules out the pink wires

i am having the same problem as you i have found a lock wire in the o/s (uk car) drivers side, in side the door loom that comes from the door key lock into the lock unlock switch but no luck in unlocking .it must be a multiplex system but my problem is that the factory remotes dont work and the dealers want around £200 ($400) just to diagnose the fault .so i decided to fit a cat one hornet maxx1 system .i just need the unlocking wire or somesort of interface can bus perhaps ? please help if you can

so if any one can help please rely to us both
