I was wondering when installing the viper 571xv the unit will act as an alarm. If the horn honk is hooked up to a standard siren will this unit act like the 771xv?

Nope. It's a remote starter only, not a security system. It has no inputs for door triggers and sensors.

It will honk upon lock/unlock. It will send pulses to the horn for 30 seconds when you press the panic on the remote. A siren requires a constant signal, not pulses like the 571 outputs.
