Whats up. This is bugging the crap out of me. The alarm is a Viper 791xv and all the sudden the alarm has gone quiet. The alarm wont beep with lock or unlock from the remote. Also the alarm is quiet unless the remote can transmit to the alarm. When the alarm goes off the siren comes on like normal. This has to be a setting but I cant find it anywhere.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks
Sean

Is the LED constantly lt up ?  It is probably in valet mode. Put the key in the ignition then cycle it all the way  forward  then pull the key out and then tap the black valet button.

I don't think its in valet mode, if it was then the alarm could not be set off. If i read it correctly your alarm still sounds off like normal but just doesnt chirp to confirm your lock  and unlock. there is a setting that will make it so its silent when you lock and unlock.

If you look on page 46 they go over that option, that sounds like it may be your problem.

Try hitting AUX then ARM. Does it chirp when arming? If so, you somehow turned on Silent Arming.
