All,
Does anyone know the wire color for the puddles lamps on the side view mirrors for the 2006 Sienna LTD either in the door panel or under the dash?

Trying to connect an alarm system to utilize the lamps... Thanks!!

What makes them come on? Turning car off? unlocking with factory remote? Opening door?

Please give all scenarios that make them come on, and how long they stay on for/what makes them turn off. The only way to get that wire code, is probably if someone has access to Mitchell diagrams, which I do not. There is probably another way if you can provide this information though.

Hi fusion1029,

They power on only with unlocking the doors with factory remote which is no longer being used for a duration of 10 sec then power off. So basically these puddle lamps became useless. There is no other way to power them on. Only with the factory remote.

Although, the wiring is complete, I can do a quick connection to the supervision light wire so they power on with the dome light on unlock with the aftermarket system.

Appreciate the assistance.

accessdenied, do they come on when you turn the key to unlock in the driver's door? Or when the domelight is manually switched on?

Hi chriswallace187,
Actually I can't remember having used a key to unlock any doors that has remote? Does anyone? posted_image
Seriously, I've to check on that and get back to you.
If the lamps does power on using the keys to unlock the doors, I'm curious what are you leaning towards?
As for the dome light being manually switched on, they don't have any affects to the puddle lamps. No lights.

Thanks for the assistance.

On almost every Toyota product that I've ever seen with factory keyless entry, the driver's door key cylinder functions identically to the lock/unlock via remote.

Specifically, one turn to unlock unlocks the driver's door, disarms the alarm(if equipped), and turns on the domelight for a time; two turns unlocks all the doors. Turning to lock shuts off the domelight, locks the doors, and arms the alarm.

chriswallace187, you're 100% correct with the keyed door unlock/lock functions in relation to the dome light.
However, I just tried this on the Sienna and the exterior side view mirror puddle lamps do not light up along with the interior dome lights.
So it seems a door lock wire connection is not a solution for my task.

Thanks for the insight though.
