i have a 87 deville with a viper 571xv. ive found the wire(s) from the distributer. my problem is the car still wont start with the remote. bulldog security and 12 volt both say different wire from it, white and (purple with white stripe) and both wires are there. both read the same voltage. but it still doesnt work? is there a way around this without using the tach wire? i tried using the voltage reading instead? does the tach wire need to be installed for this feature to work if not, then what needs to be plugged in? my situation with the car starting/ not starting is: starts normally no problem, starts with key turned with remote but the starter keeps engaging as the engine runs, key out of ign with remote starts starter but engine never turns over. please help!

Did the tach signal properly learn to the unit when you tried to learn the tach ?
